At Makerere University, Dr. Nasaka serves in the Department of Wildlife and Aquatic Animal Resources, College of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Resources and Biosecurity (CoVAB). She is a Principal Investigator in high impact public health and agricultural projects for which she has secured funding from the Carnegie Corporation of New York, DAAD, and Princeton University.

He is a registered architect with a PhD in Architecture from the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture. Formerly, he served as the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Finance and Administration); Acting Principal of the College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology; Dean of the Faculty of Technology; and Founding Head of the Department of Architecture at Makerere University. Prof. Nawangwe chairs the Steering Committee of the Centre for Tobacco Control in Africa and is the Patron of the Resilient Africa Network. He is a Director of the Worldwide Universities Network and a member of the Executive Committee of the Council of the Association of Commonwealth Universities.

He is an internationally renowned economist. Formerly, he served as a professor in the School of Social Sciences at Makerere University and as a Chairperson of the Makerere University Academic Staff Association (MUASA).

He is an accomplished economist and policy analyst. He has spent most of his career teaching Economics at different universities, particularly Makerere University Business School (MUBS). He serves on Boards of various key institutions including Bank of Uganda, National Social Security Fund, East African Development Bank, and Uganda Revenue Authority. He has consulted with several organizations including the International Labor Organization (ILO), Overseas Development Institute (ODI), Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES), and Financial Sector Deepening Uganda (FSDU). As PS/ST, Ramathan has set his agenda to reform the national budget and make it more responsive to national development priorities particularly the ten-fold growth strategy, improve appraisal and implementation of national development projects, and ensure accountability with measurable results as opposed to paper accountability.

He holds a PhD in Economics, M.A. Economic Policy and Planning and B.A. Economics. With support from Sida, Edward is the Lead Person at Makerere University for the Inclusive Green Economy (IGE) Capacity Development Program for Senior Civil Servants and Policy Makers. Previously, he served as the Dean of the School of Economics at Makerere University. With support from the World Bank, Edward is the Principal Investigator of a project intended to establish a Public Investment Management Centre of Excellence at Makerere University. He is a Member of the Expanded Board of the National Planning Authority, a member of the African Economic Research Consortium Academic Advisory Board, and the Scientific Committee of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa Young Economists Network.

She is a development economist with over fifteen years' experience in economic and policy research. She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom. Her core areas of expertise include economic analysis, gender and development analysis, labour market analysis and environmental economic analysis. Susan has led and participated in various research projects on women economic empowerment, entrepreneurship development, tax policy analysis and climate adaptation with institutions such as the Advocates Coalition for Development (ACODE), United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD)—Uganda office, and United Nations University World Institute for Development Economics Research (UNU WIDER) and the International Development Research Center (IDRC).

He is an established forecaster, economic model builder and tax policy and administration adviser with more than a decade of service to government and international organizations.

He specializes in evidence-based policy research, institutional reform and sustainability, and has more than 20 years' experience in governance, public policy, institution building, national security and strategic planning. His expertise includes international relations, political economy, public administration, governance, security studies, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence governance. Dr. Mulyanyuma has written numerous academic articles and policy papers, and has been a policy researcher, advisor and conference presenter on governance and state, security and development. His research and practice span the scholarship-policy continuum, enabling him to generate novel yet pragmatic approaches to institution-building, inclusive development, and national and regional transformation.

He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Nairobi, Kenya. He has been consulted by organizations including FAO, GiZ, Parliament of Uganda and National Planning Authority, Uganda. Peter is the Policy Engagement Coordinator for the College of Business and Management Sciences, Makerere University. He is also the Project Coordinator at the Centre of Excellence for Africa Climate Sensitive Macro-Modelling at the School of Economics, Makerere University.

He is a seasoned investment professional and public sector fund manager with more than 15 years of experience in Uganda's investment industry. He applies his expertise as a professional money manager, ESG lens investor, and in alternative investments. His experience spans central bank investments, institutional private lending, strategic real estate, corporate innovation investments, and private equity. He has led portfolio management at the Bank of Uganda from 2014 to 2021 and at DPF from 2021 to date, stewarding more than US$4 billion across bonds, fixed income derivatives, ESG-lens investing, and real assets. Alan also serves as a Technical Advisor to the Investment Committee of Makerere University Retirement Benefits Scheme (MURBS) and has previously supported Makerere University Endowment Fund (2024, 2025) on investment strategy and fundraising.

He has over 20 years of leadership experience in the United Nations system, specializing in strategic policy advisory, development economics, and SDG implementation. He currently serves as Senior Economic Advisor and Chief of the Strategy and Policy Unit at UNDP in Uganda, leading high-level engagement on inclusive growth, development financing, and resilience. Previously, he was Deputy Director and Senior Advisor at UNDP's Human Development Report Office, where he co-led flagship Human Development Reports and strengthened UNDP's global thought leadership. As Chief Economist and Senior Strategic Advisor for Asia-Pacific, he guided corporate strategy and advised governments and UN leadership on macroeconomic policy and development priorities. Dr. Palanivel holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics and completed a post-doctoral research fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania.
